

Your shop profile is completely public. Do not post any information you do not want revealed.

On RideFix.com, you manage your account through your headquarters(click on myHQ or your user name at the top of any page). Your profile is a representation of your shop. You can interact with the entire site, just like a user would. Feel free to create and edit articles and tutorials and participate in forums.
While in your Headquarters, you can navigate through the various sections by using the side menu.
The contact person is the liaison between your shop and RideFix.com. Please keep this information up to date and accurate. This information is not displayed to the public. It is used solely by RideFix.com to contact you.
To change your password, click on the "Account" bar, then "Manage Account". Scroll down, and you will see the change password form.
To edit your profile, you can click the "Network" bar and the "(edit)" link next to the "Profile" link. You can also edit it by clicking on the "Account" bar and the "Manage Profile" link.
Your shop name is the name that is displayed on your profile and in search results. It is not to be confused with your Display Name, which is the name displayed during other interactions with the site.
Your location is edited under the "Account" bar, "Location" link. This is the address that will show up on your profile and help users to locate it. Fill out the form and click save.
Note: Be sure to check your location on the map after you have saved. If it is not displayed properly, check the form for errors. If no errors exist, please contact us.
Your account information includes the type of shop you are listing. Please keep this information up to date as it does have an impact on where your profile shows up and which "Profile Features" you have.
To check any messages you have, you can click on the top of any page where it says inbox. When you have a new message, "inbox" will change to "New Message(1)" with the number being how many unread messages you have. In other words, it's like email.
Contact List: Your contact list is your affiliates list. Users that contact you will not appear on this list.
RideFix.com will send you emails when certain actions are taken, but you can adjust this as you see fit. To edit your notification settings, click on the "Account" bar and the "Notifications" link. Simply check each box where you want to receive an email.
Affiliate Request: Checking this box means you will receive an email when a shop requests you as an affiliate.
Messaging: Checking this box means you will be notified when you receive a message. You can elect to have the message included in this email as well by click the box labeled so.
Blog Comments: Checking this box means you will be notified when someone posts a comment on a blog post. You can also elect to include the comment in the message.
Coupons: Checking this box means you will receive a confirmation email when you create a coupon.
Your profile can contain a number of extra features that give users a greater sense of your business. The extras available are dependent on the type of shop you have.
Shop Pics: (Available to all shops) Post up to 10 pictures of your shop.
Coupons: (Available to all shops) Post up to 5 coupons to draw in customers.
Banner Ad: (Available to all shops) Post a banner at the top of your profile. It can be a picture of your shop, or a post of a special offer you have.
List Services: (Available to all shops) Make a list of the specific services you offer. You can list up to 30 services. This is not to be confused with your type of shop. You can list specialties and specific services like A/C service or Tire Rotation.
Employees: (Available to all shops) Make mini profiles of your employees. Show potential customers the team you have assembled.
Shop Blog: (Available to all shops) Post your thoughts, industry happenings, or events around your shop. Give our users a personal sense of your business.
Mailing Lists: (Available to All Shops) Allow users to sign up for mailing and emailing lists. You will be given either their address or email address to add to your lists.
Salespeople: (Available to Dealerships) Create miniature profiles of your sales staff. Post their contact information so customers can get a hold of them when they need to.
Inventory: (Available to Parts and Products Stores) List the inventory and prices of various items in your store. Note: The profiles of the items listed come from the manufacturers of those products.
Car Listings: (Available to Dealerships) Create profiles of the vehicles you have for sale.
The Doctor Builder is a tool that allows you to agree or disagree with the connections to problems and conditions we have in the Doctor (see "Diagnose a Problem". Your score is based on the total of votes and the accuracy when compared to how other shops vote. You do not have to show your score in your profile.
You can view all of your affiliates, reference bookmarks and reference contributions in your HQ.
To log out of RideFix.com, you can click the link in the top right corner of any page or click the "Logout" bar in the HQ side menu.
